I’m Sara. I am a rebellious optimist. And if you’re reading this page, then in all likelihood, you are too.
Rebellious optimists believe the world can be better than it is right now. We see what’s broken and we believe it can be fixed. We believe in the power of purpose, in the idea that the work we do can leave things a little better than we found them.
That’s why you’re here, isn’t it? Not just to make a living, although you absolutely deserve to do that, but to make a difference. To build something that matters. To know that your work has genuinely changed something for someone.
And perhaps right now, that optimism feels a little battered. Building a business is harder than the Instagram version suggests. It can be lonely, overwhelming, and relentless in a way nobody quite prepares you for.
I know. I’ve done it more than once. I’ve had the exhilarating highs and the “what on earth am I doing” moments. I’ve burned out and rebuilt. I’ve learned, occasionally the painful way, what it actually takes to build a business that works and what it takes to make sure the business works for your life, not the other way around.
That’s what Actually is built on.
